Tip 1: TRUST YOURSELF
You know you best, trust that. Never settle for what is not authentic to you.
Tip 2: Parents are not always wrong
Sometimes we forget our support systems (parents or not) hear us and know our quirks. Listen. Sometimes they are right, sometimes they are not but do not rule their opinions out at the moment you are in disagreement.
Tip 3: If you want it, go get it
We have one life to live (cliche, but true). Have fun. Take risks. Get yourself out of your comfort zone, but do so in reason, you do not want to tire yourself in the beginning of your journey - you have SO much to explore!
Tip 4: DRINK WATER
Please. Stay hydrated and set aside time for an adequate nights rest. Your body, your mind, and those around you will love you and your glow forever.
Tip 5: Journal/Express yourself
Document this new journey, in 1 year you’ll look back and say “wow! I did so much! I met so many people! I have grown so much!” Taking time out to reflect on your experiences helps you better understand yourself and those around you. This also helps you in finding points of improvement you’d like to make. Express yourself and be the change.
Tip 6: HAVE FUN
Enjoy yourself. Take time out for yourself. Listen to music. Take a walk. SLEEP. Meet new people. Treat yourself to a fancy meal once in awhile. Stay on top of your mental health. Pay your bills. Clean your room. Groom yourself. Love yourself. Embrace the moment - good and bad. Be yourself and be open to growth.
