Despite this awful clusterfuck of a year, there were two major highlights for me. One, was Richonne (Rick and Michonne) from “The Walking Dead” finally becoming canon. What sweet relief it was to see them take that final step in their relationship. In fact, I loved that there was no drama, and that they both wanted that change. I’d also like to state that they’re by far the best TV couple I’ve come across. I don’t think there will be any other that can take the place of the King and Queen of the zombie apocalypse.
Second, and this was at the tail end of this year. Literally, in the last week and half or so of the year. After receiving my final marks for the Fall semester and checking my degree requirements, I realized that I’ll be graduating in 2017! I still have two classes to do in the Winter semester but it’s still surreal that I’ll finally be leaving university in a few months. As much as I’ve wanted this for years, it’ll probably be a bittersweet feeling. In my last 2 to 2 ½ years, I got into creative writing and those were my best and most memorable classes.
I have hopes that 2017 won’t be as dark of a year as 2016, but we’ll see. No matter what, we have to try to see the light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how long it takes to get there.
